My name is Steven Rooyakkers, and I am the founder and CEO of The Racer’s Connection. I have been a Motocross rider/fan all of my life. I got my first bike at age 4 and started racing motocross shortly after. At 22 I decided to start focusing on my professional career due to injuries and the cost of going racing. I established The Racer’s Connection because I wanted to contribute to an industry that I am passionate about, and more importantly, I wanted to create a company that helped racers overcome some of the obstacles standing in their way.
It is our goal to become an industry leader in the online retailing of Motocross Apparel and Accessories and provide a platform that allows racers and fans to help their fellow racers achieve their goal. The Racer’s Connection is the first of its kind, half clothing company half motocross specific crowdfunding site. At checkout customers select which TRC Team Rider they want a portion of the proceeds to go to, and also have the option of adding an additional sponsorship contribution amount of their choice. When one of our Team Riders is selected they receive an email letting them know they have received a Sponsorship donation.
